Costs

German notaries charge legally regulated fees for their services in accordance with the Court and Notary Fees Act (GNotKG). These fees are uniform throughout Germany and are generally based on the economic value of the respective transaction.

Unlike in many common law jurisdictions, notarial fees in Germany are fixed by statute and are independent of time spent or hourly rates. This ensures predictability, transparency and equal treatment.

Notarial advice is always included in the notarisation fee, regardless of the scope or time required for your request.
