Legal decisions with far-reaching consequences require clarity,
precision and trust.

As a notary in Frankfurt, I advise clients on legally and economically significant projects – with legal excellence, strategic foresight and personal commitment.

In Germany, notaries are impartial public officials entrusted with ensuring legal certainty in transactions of particular importance. They do not represent one party, but safeguard the interests of all parties involved and the integrity of the transaction as a whole. My role is to structure complex matters in a clear and understandable way, to balance interests carefully and to create legally secure, sustainable solutions. I combine notarial diligence with many years of experience in international and national commercial law firms.

Your concerns are at the centre of my work.

I advise independently, discreetly and at the highest professional level – efficient, transparent and reliable.
The clear focus of my firm on notarial services allows for short communication channels and highly personalised advice, in German and English and, where required, in close coordination with your professional advisors.

Notarial services

First-class results require a clear focus.
For this reason, our firm specialises exclusively
in notarial services.

First-class results require a clear focus. For this reason, our firm specialises exclusively in notarial services.

German law requires notarisation for many corporate, real estate, family and succession matters. The notary is responsible for drafting the documents, advising all parties and ensuring their enforceability under German law.

We provide competent, solution-oriented advice with a clear understanding of both legal and economic contexts. Our aim is to develop tailor-made, legally secure and practical solutions – efficiently, discreetly and sensitively.

We are happy to work closely with your legal, tax and financial advisors.

All services are, of course, also available in English.

Companies

Structure. Design. Secure.

Company law is a core focus of our notarial practice. We advise on all notarial matters relating to German and European legal entities, in particular corporations (GmbH, AG, KGaA) as well as partnerships (GbR, oHG, KG, GmbH & Co. KG, PartG), cooperatives and European Companies (SE).

In particular, we advise on:

Share and Asset Purchase Agreements of all sizes

Corporate transformations (mergers, demergers, changes of legal form), including cross-border transactions

Company formations (e.g. GmbH and KG)

Capital measures (capital increases and reductions)

Share pledges

Control and profit transfer agreements

Shareholder agreements and joint ventures

Appointment and dismissal of managing directors, board members and authorised signatories

Ongoing corporate law compliance  ("Corporate Housekeeping")

Real Estate

Legal certainty. For lasting values.

Real estate transactions are at the heart of notarial practice in Germany. Under German law, any transfer of real estate requires notarisation. The notary drafts the purchase agreement, explains its legal and economic implications to all parties and oversees the proper completion of the transaction, including registration in the land register. We advise on matters ranging from private property acquisitions to complex commercial real estate and portfolio transactions.

Our services include in particular:

Sale and purchase of real estate and other rights in rem

Notarisation of real estate transactions for domestic and foreign investors

Creation of German land charges (Grundschulden), mortgages, easements, usufruct and other rights in rem

Declarations of division under the German Condominium Act (WEG)

Acquisition and sale of real estate portfolios (Asset Deals und Share Deals)

Heritable building rights (leasehold structures)

Succession Planning

Responsibility. Across generations.

Succession planning and the structuring of family and wealth arrangements require legal expertise, experience and sensitivity. German inheritance and family law differs significantly from common law systems, in particular with regard to forced heirship rules and matrimonial property regimes. Early notarial advice is therefore essential for effective cross-border succession planning. We advise discreetly and with foresight, taking into account legal, tax and personal considerations.

Our services include in particular:

Drafting and notarisation of wills and inheritance contracts

Applications for certificates of inheritance and executor’s certificates

Lifetime transfers within the framework of anticipated succession (e.g. gifts subject to usufruct)

Structured succession planning using tax-efficient legal structures>

Asset protection, in particular through corporate law instruments such as foundations and holding structures

Additional Services

Care. Precision. Reliability.

Our notarial services further include in particular:

Notarisation of marriage contracts (prenuptial agreements) and divorce settlement agreements

Powers of attorney, including healthcare directives and living wills

Preparation of legal opinions, including notarial priority certificates ("Rangbescheinigungen")

Support in international transactions, including proof of existence and representation of foreign entities

Certification of signatures

FAQ

How are notary fees calculated?
Notarial fees in Germany are governed by law under the German Court and Notary Costs Act (GNotKG). They are uniform nationwide and binding for all notaries. Notarial fees are generally based on the value of the transaction (not on the duration of the appointment). We are happy to provide you with a transparent, advance indication of the expected fees for your matter. For more information, please visit Costs.
What is the difference between a notarisation and a certification of signature?
With a certification of signature, the notary confirms that the signature was personally signed by you (e.g. for certain declarations or register matters). A notarisation goes further and includes legal guidance, a structured review of the content, and the formal notarisation itself (e.g. for real estate purchases, corporate matters, or prenuptial agreements). If you wish, we can clarify in advance which form is required in your case.
Can a notarisation be carried out entirely in English?
In most cases, notarisation and legal advice can be conducted entirely in English. Thanks to the international orientation of our notary office and our long-standing experience with English-speaking clients, we ensure smooth handling of your case—accurately, efficiently, and without any linguistic or legal barriers. More information about our international experience can be found under Notary.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Our goal is prompt and reliable handling. Drawing on the Notary’s many years of experience as a practising lawyer in transactional matters, we are well aware of how crucial swift and at the same time precise processing is at every stage of the procedure. As a general rule, we are able to offer you an appointment within three business days. In urgent cases – for example in time-critical transactions or register matters – we always endeavour to make appointments available at even shorter notice, if necessary on the same day and outside regular business hours. For more complex matters, we coordinate the process in a structured manner and ensure clear timing (drafting, coordination, notarisation), if needed in close consultation with your advisors. For scheduling an appointment or any questions, please use our contact page.
Is the office easy to reach / is parking available?
The notary’s office is centrally located in Frankfurt’s Holzhausenviertel. The journey is usually easy to plan, and parking is generally available in the surrounding area. The office is also conveniently accessible by public transport. Detailed information can be found under How to find us.
When are a power of attorney and an advance healthcare directive advisable?
With a power of attorney and, if applicable, an advance healthcare directive, you can determine in advance who is authorized to act on your behalf in critical situations and which medical wishes should be respected. This helps prevent third parties or courts from having to make decisions for you. We assist you in drafting these documents in a legally secure manner and advise on whether and how they can be combined with other personal arrangements, such as wills or care directives. This ensures that your personal wishes are fully taken into account and that your relatives are relieved of unnecessary burdens.
When is it advisable to have a notarised will?
A notarised will offers special security if you want to clearly and legally define your last wishes. It is particularly advisable in cases of complex asset structures, such as real estate, business shares, or significant sums of money; in special family situations, such as blended families or children from multiple marriages; or if you wish to deviate from the statutory inheritance rules. A notarised will helps prevent inheritance disputes and provides your heirs with clear guidance. Additionally, the notary can take tax and legal aspects into account and draft your will optimally, especially in cases involving cross-border matters or foreign assets. In practice, a notarised will often replaces the need for a grant of probate, as banks and authorities generally trust the notarised document directly, significantly simplifying the administration of the estate. Through notarisation, your will becomes legally valid, is registered in the Central Wills Register, and is protected against loss, ensuring that your estate is distributed exactly according to your wishes.
Prenuptial Agreement / Divorce Settlement Agreement – when are they advisable?
A prenuptial agreement or divorce settlement agreement can be useful for clearly structuring financial and personal arrangements—such as the division of real estate, business assets, or joint accounts, securing maintenance claims, or regulating other assets. We provide discreet and legally sound advice and work with you to develop a solution that is practical, fair, and robust. This helps prevent future disputes and ensures that your personal interests are effectively protected.
